BREATH: A MEDITATION SOUNDSCAPE

Sound Artist Jeremy Segal and Singer/Songwriter Delilah Rose team up to take you on a meditative dreamwalk along our Swan River. Sonic patterns from the local environment are applied to synthesised sound to create a diverse world of impressionist textures – lapping waves become undulating pads, chirping insects become interlocking metallophones falling in and out of time whilst you are led on a spoken meditation in surround sound.

This work was created on, and uses sounds recorded on, Whadjuk Noongar Boodjar. We wish to acknowledge the traditional owners of the land and pay respects to elders past, present, and emerging.

WA Music Week Record Fair

As the music industry at large embraces digital technologies more than ever, WA Music Week is proud to present an analogue antidote in the form of the WA Music Week Record Fair! With stalls selling merch from a range of local indie labels and some of Perth’s finest record collectors selling their wares, the fair aims to bring back the community and social aspect of music retail.

Head to the State Theatre of WA’s Courtyard between 12 – 4pm on Saturday 27 March to chat and buy WA merch from local record labels and flick through the many crates of secondhand vinyl to uncover some hidden treasures!
