Megan Jasper works at Sub Pop Records as the label’s CEO. She started working for Sub Pop in 1989 and was laid off two years later when the label’s financial challenges peaked. She returned to the label in 1998 after spending years at Alternative Distribution Alliance as their Northwest Sales Representative. Megan has volunteered for numerous non-profits, including SCBWI (Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators, The Service Board, The Vera Project, KEXP, and lastly, MERLIN. Megan also served on Seattle’s Music Commission for its first seven years. When she is not working, volunteering, or involved with local and global music programs, she is gardening, training for triathlons, writing, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs.
